IV Conscious Sedation (intravenous)

The administration of a sedative drug through an IV line is called IV Conscious Sedation. It is a safe and reversible process. It allows the patient to feel relaxed in a twilight sleep state while at the same time is still fully conscious and breathing without any assistance.
